Simply indescribable. The blue cave in Kastelorizo Greece is one of Europe’s most famous ones. A truly magnificent work of nature, where you can have the chance to swim inside, arguably, the most impressive grotto in the whole Mediterranean. The inside is 75 meters long, 40 meters wide and 35 meters high. The light that comes in the morning hours into the cave reflects from the bottom giving everything a deep blue color. Blue Grotto (or “Blue Cave”) is one of the most amazing natural formations on the whole Earth and a very rare geological phenomenon. It is situated on the south side of the Kastelorizo island and Its entrance is just two meters high, permitting only small boats to pass through at dawn and only when the sea is calm. The Blue Cave is often visited by sea lions native to these waters. Kastelorizo is one of the smallest islands in Greece and if you are a traveler on this charming island a visit to the “Blue Grotto” is a must.
